  • 1 pound Ground Beef The hearty base that adds richness and protein.
  • 8 ounces Pasta (short, such as penne or elbow macaroni) Use any short pasta to absorb the flavors.
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup Can substitute with cream of chicken or a lighter version.
  • 1 cup Cheese (Cheddar) Shredded; can replace with mozzarella or pepper jack.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather the ingredients.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  3. Cook the pasta in a pot of salted water until al dente, then drain.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the browned beef, cooked pasta, and cream of mushroom soup. Stir until well coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle cheese over the top.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

Notes

Vegetarian Option: Substitute ground beef with lentils or sautéed mushrooms. Add steamed vegetables for extra nutrition. Use taco seasoning for spice.
