Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) for a golden, flaky texture.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Add the chilled butter and work it into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the 7-Up and gently fold the mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the biscuits tender.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface, pat down to about 1-inch thick, and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or glass rim.
Baking
- Place biscuits on a greased baking sheet, leaving space in between, and bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Let them cool slightly before serving warm with butter or jam.
