Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can 1 can (14 oz) of salmon, drained and flaked Or about 1 cup cooked fresh salmon
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Feel free to use gluten-free or swap with crushed crackers
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup finely chopped onion Green onions can offer a milder taste
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley Dill adds a bright twist!
  • 1 1 egg, beaten For a vegan version, use a flax egg
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Or your favorite mustard
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon garlic powder Or fresh minced garlic for a punch
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional splash a splash of lemon juice For a refreshing zing

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, parsley, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and optional lemon juice. Mix until fully combined—it should hold together but not be overly wet.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Form the mixture into patties—about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Place the salmon patties in the basket in a single layer.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 10 minutes. After 5 minutes, gently flip the patties.
  2. Once golden and cooked through, remove the patties and allow them to rest for a couple of minutes.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them back in the air fryer for a few minutes at 350°F (175°C).
