Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the tortellini in a pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions, reducing cooking time by 1-2 minutes as it will continue to cook in the oven.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked tortellini, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir gently until well mixed.
Assembly
- Spread half of the tortellini mixture in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella and half of the Parmesan on top.
- Layer the remaining tortellini mixture and top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
Baking
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Serving
- Let the casserole rest for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
Notes
