Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Add the baking soda and salt, mixing until incorporated.
- Fold in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract gently.
- Add the all-purpose flour, folding just until the mixture is combined (don’t overmix!).
Baking
- Transfer the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Pop the Banana Bread in the oven for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, slice and freeze the bread, separating slices with parchment paper. Reheat in the toaster or microwave for a quick snack.
