Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 pieces Ripe Bananas The riper, the better for that sweet flavor.
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Offers the perfect texture.
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder For that perfect rise.
  • 0.5 tsp Baking Soda Enhances the muffins while keeping them fluffy.
  • 0.5 tsp Salt A must to balance the sweetness.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar For sweetness; can be reduced for a healthier option.
  • 0.5 cup Brown Sugar Adds a touch of caramel flavor.
  • 2 large Eggs Helps bind everything together.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract For that warm, aromatic essence.
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter, melted Adds richness.
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Makes it indulgent.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your muffin tin: Line it with paper liners or spray with cooking spray.
  3. Mash the Bananas: In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until they’re smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In the banana bowl, add in the melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
  6. Add Dry to Wet: Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  7. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Finally, gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  8. Scoop and Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  9. Cool and Enjoy: Let cool for a few minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Consider adding chopped walnuts or pecans for added texture. Substitute half the flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier option. Add a pinch of cinnamon for spice!
