Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Lightly toast the inside of the slider buns with a brush of melted butter for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Form into 12 small patties, slightly larger than your buns.
- Press a small thumbprint in the center of each patty to prevent bubbling.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the patties, cooking for 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium, until desired doneness.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty the last 30 seconds of cooking to melt perfectly.
- Remove the patties to the baking sheet and tent loosely with foil to keep warm.
Sauce Preparation
- Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a small bowl until smooth and slightly pink.
- Taste and adjust the sauce to your preference.
Assembly
- Spread sauce on both halves of the buns, add a patty, top with shredded lettuce and a pickle slice.
- Cap with the bun top and press gently. Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Double up small patties for a juicier bite, or make them thinner for a classic slider feel. Keep components separate until serving to prevent sogginess. Freeze cooked patties for up to 2 months if needed.
