Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the chicken with soy sauce, black pepper, and minced garlic. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Chop the green onions and any other vegetables you wish to add, such as bell peppers.
Cooking
- Sprinkle cornstarch over the marinated chicken and toss until evenly coated.
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan in a single layer. Cook until golden brown and crispy, approximately 6-7 minutes per side.
- Toss in the green onions and any other vegetables you’re using; cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Serve by spooning the chicken and pan juices over rice or noodles, garnishing with extra black pepper and green onions.
Notes
You can adjust the black pepper to taste for more or less heat. Add sliced chili peppers for a spicier version.
