  • 1 lb Chicken Breast Boneless and skinless
  • 2 cups Broccoli Fresh or frozen
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Tamari for gluten-free option
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil For a nutty aroma
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch For thickening the sauce
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Optional for added sweetness
  • to taste Green Onions Chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces and chop the broccoli into florets.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet or wok on medium-high heat. Add a splash of sesame oil.
  2. Once hot, add the chicken pieces. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  3. Add the minced garlic and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the broccoli and bell peppers (if using), cooking for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender yet crunchy.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce and cornstarch with a bit of water until smooth. Pour this mixture into your skillet, stirring well to coat all the ingredients.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is thickened and glistening.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Tips: Add red pepper flakes for a bit of spice or serve it over brown rice/quinoa for a filling meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
