  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil For that beautiful golden crunch. Feel free to substitute with coconut oil for a different flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic adds depth, but garlic powder keeps things easy.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder This enhances the savory profile beautifully.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or cayenne pepper Choose spice based on your preference. Adjust to taste for the perfect kick!
  • to taste none Salt Essential for flavor enhancement. You can also try using garlic salt for an extra flavor boost.
Optional Toppings

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (or cayenne), and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer, allowing space between each one.
Cooking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chickpeas turn golden and crispy. Remember to stir halfway through.
  2. Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Notes

These chips can be paired with a dipping sauce like hummus or guacamole. For leftover chips, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for about 5 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to regain crispiness.
