Preparation
- Boil 2 cups of water in a medium-sized saucepan.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of black tea. Let steep for 5 minutes.
- Stir in 1 cinnamon stick, 1 teaspoon of ginger, ½ teaspoon of nutmeg, and ½ teaspoon of cardamom. Allow to infuse for 2 minutes.
- Remove tea bags or strain leaves, then add 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup to sweeten.
- Pour in 1 cup of milk and return to low heat, stirring until warm but do not boil.
- Serve in mugs, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or whipped cream.
Notes
Experiment with spices or add a splash of espresso. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
