  • 1 cup strong chilled coffee or espresso Bold and slightly bitter to balance sweetness.
  • 1 cup whole milk or any plant-based milk Oat milk gives a luxuriously creamy texture.
  • 1 cup ice
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened Adds richness.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (or maple syrup) Provides warm molasses notes.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon The soul of the drink.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Rounds and brightens the flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool. For the best flavor, make espresso or concentrated coffee and chill in the fridge.
  2. Pour the chilled coffee, milk, softened cream cheese, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and ice into a blender.
  3. Blend on low and then high until the mixture is velvety and frothy.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness with additional maple syrup if desired; add ice cubes for a thicker frappe.
  5. Pour into a glass, and top with whipped cream, a dusting of cinnamon, and a drizzle of cinnamon syrup or caramel.

Notes

For a vegan version, use non-dairy cream cheese and your favorite plant milk. For a coffee-free version, substitute with strong chai or rooibos tea. Swirl syrup inside the glass for aesthetic appeal.
