Preparation
- Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool. For the best flavor, make espresso or concentrated coffee and chill in the fridge.
- Pour the chilled coffee, milk, softened cream cheese, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and ice into a blender.
- Blend on low and then high until the mixture is velvety and frothy.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with additional maple syrup if desired; add ice cubes for a thicker frappe.
- Pour into a glass, and top with whipped cream, a dusting of cinnamon, and a drizzle of cinnamon syrup or caramel.
Notes
For a vegan version, use non-dairy cream cheese and your favorite plant milk. For a coffee-free version, substitute with strong chai or rooibos tea. Swirl syrup inside the glass for aesthetic appeal.
