Method
 

Preparation
  1. Collect the turkey drippings into a measuring cup, skim off excess fat but save some for flavor.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Once melted, sprinkle in flour and whisk continuously until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Gradually pour in the reserved turkey drippings while whisking to incorporate.
  2. Gradually whisk in chicken broth to prevent lumps and continue cooking, whisking often, until gravy thickens, about 5-10 minutes.
  3. Taste and season with salt and black pepper as needed.
Serving
  1. Pour into a gravy boat or directly over turkey and sides, and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs, sautéed onions, or a splash of white wine. To store, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to a month.
