Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions.
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Combine soy sauce and honey (or maple syrup) in a bowl for the glaze.
Cooking
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Wait for the oil to get hot.
  2. Place the salmon skin-side down into the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy, then flip and cook an additional 3-4 minutes.
  3. In the same skillet, add vegetables and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until tender but vibrant.
Assembly
  1. Scoop rice into bowls, top with crispy salmon, arrange stir-fried veggies, drizzle with soy-honey glaze, and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Change up the glaze for different flavor profiles. Use brown rice or cauliflower rice for a healthier option. Pair with cucumber salad or miso soup for an authentic touch.
