Preparation
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil.
- Place the chicken breasts into the Crock Pot, and pour the prepared teriyaki sauce over the top.
Cooking
- Cover the Crock Pot and set it to cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- When done cooking, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce until well coated.
Serving
- Serve the teriyaki chicken over steamed rice or fresh veggies, topped with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
Consider adding chopped bell peppers, broccoli, or carrots for a veggie boost. For a spicy kick, include red pepper flakes or sriracha in the sauce. A squeeze of fresh lime or orange juice can enhance the flavor.
