Preparation
- Shred 3 cups of cooked chicken and place it into the crockpot. It’s the foundation — hearty and comforting.
- Dollop softened cream cheese over the chicken, then pour in the ranch dressing and hot sauce.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper, add the butter, and give everything a gentle stir until ingredients are roughly combined.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring once or twice. Alternatively, use high for 1 to 1.5 hours if short on time.
- During the last 20 minutes, stir in shredded cheddar and blue cheese crumbles, then cover until melted and bubbly.
- Scoop into a ceramic bowl, garnish with chives or extra blue cheese, and serve warm with dippers.
Notes
For a lighter version, replace half the cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Add chopped celery or green onions before serving for extra texture. Serve with wings for a complete game-day spread.
