  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing or Greek yogurt mixed with herbs Makes it creamy and cooling.
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter Rounds the heat and adds sheen.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder A pinch of black pepper and a squeeze of lemon are optional.

Method

Preparation
  1. Shred 3 cups of cooked chicken and place it into the crockpot. It’s the foundation — hearty and comforting.
  2. Dollop softened cream cheese over the chicken, then pour in the ranch dressing and hot sauce.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper, add the butter, and give everything a gentle stir until ingredients are roughly combined.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring once or twice. Alternatively, use high for 1 to 1.5 hours if short on time.
  2. During the last 20 minutes, stir in shredded cheddar and blue cheese crumbles, then cover until melted and bubbly.
  3. Scoop into a ceramic bowl, garnish with chives or extra blue cheese, and serve warm with dippers.

Notes

For a lighter version, replace half the cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Add chopped celery or green onions before serving for extra texture. Serve with wings for a complete game-day spread.
