Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, soften the cream cheese until creamy.
  2. Add the sour cream and blend them together until smooth.
  3. Sprinkle in the ranch seasoning mix; stir well to distribute.
  4. Incorporate the can of Rotel tomatoes, juices included.
  5. Gradually fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. If adding, fold in the diced bell peppers (or jalapeƱos).
  7. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl, cover, and chill in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.

Notes

Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter dip. Improve flavor with fresh herbs; consider adding shredded rotisserie chicken for protein.
