Ingredients

For the Sliders
  • 12 rolls Hawaiian sweet rolls Use whole wheat Hawaiian rolls for a healthier option.
  • 12 ounces Thinly sliced ham Deli-style or leftover baked ham; turkey can be substituted.
  • 6-8 slices Swiss cheese Cheddar or provolone work well as alternatives.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Melted; olive oil can be used for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Adds tang to the sliders.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • 1 teaspoon Poppy seeds Optional for texture.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
  • Fresh parsley Optional, for garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish with parchment for easy cleanup.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops connected as a sheet for easy cutting later. Place the bottom half into your baking dish.
  3. Layer the ham evenly over the bottom rolls, folding slices gently so each slider gets a tender bite.
  4. Add the cheese in an even layer over the ham.
  5. Replace the top of the rolls, pressing gently so everything nestles together.
Baking
  1. Whisk melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds in a small bowl. Pour or brush this golden glaze across the tops of the rolls.
  2. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove the foil and bake an additional 2–5 minutes until the tops are glossy and edges are crisp.
  4. Let the sliders rest for a few minutes before slicing into squares. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

These sliders can be customized with various ingredients. Add pineapple slices for a Hawaiian twist, or substitute for a spicy kick with Sriracha mayo. They can be made healthier with low-sodium ham and whole-grain rolls.
