Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour The base for your rolls, providing that perfect texture.
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast Ensures a quick rise for your rolls; no need to wait long!
  • ¼ cup sugar A hint of sweetness that makes these rolls irresistible.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Balances the flavors beautifully.
  • ¾ cup warm milk Use whole milk for richness; oat or almond milk works for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Adds richness; coconut oil can be a substitute if you prefer dairy-free.
  • 1 large egg Binds everything together and adds to the fluffiness.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over it and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  3. Once the yeast is active, mix in the melted butter and egg until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 10 minutes.
  7. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape them into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. Brush the tops with a bit of melted butter for a golden crust and bake for 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown.
  11. Allow them to cool slightly on a wire rack before enjoying.
