- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Slice the sausage into bite-sized pieces and add them to the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.
- Add the onion and garlic, stirring frequently for about 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, pour in a splash of water, and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the cabbage is wilted but still has a nice crunch.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, then serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For make-ahead, chop veggies and sausages the night before. Can be frozen for later meals.
