- Chop cabbage into bite-sized pieces, dice the onion, and mince the garlic.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet with bacon drippings, sauté the chopped onion for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add cabbage to the skillet, stirring well to coat with flavors. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt, pepper, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for another 5-8 minutes until cabbage is tender yet crunchy.
- Crumble bacon over the pan and toss to combine before serving.
Notes
For a kick, add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños. Substituting Brussels sprouts or kale is also a great option.
