Preparation
- Wash the baby potatoes and slice them in half. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season generously with salt and pepper.
Cooking Potatoes
- In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the potatoes. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until tender but not mushy.
Cooking Steak
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak bites in batches, searing for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet.
Sautéing Garlic
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Combining Ingredients
- Add the drained potatoes to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the garlic butter. Return the steak to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined.
Finishing Touch
- Sprinkle freshly chopped herbs over the dish, give it a final toss, and serve warm.
Notes
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can freeze cooked steak bites and potatoes for up to a month. When reheating, do so gently in a skillet over medium heat, adding a touch of butter.
