Ingredients

Compound Butter Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened For a dairy-free option, try using vegan butter.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced The more garlic, the merrier!
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped Or any fresh herbs you prefer.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme Rosemary works beautifully too.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice of ½ lemon lemon juice For brightness.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, blend the softened butter until creamy and fluffy.
  2. Add in the minced garlic, fresh herbs, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  3. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, fold the ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Place the butter onto a sheet of plastic wrap and form it into a log by rolling tightly and tucking in the ends.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before slicing, or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

Leftover butter can be wrapped tightly and stored in the fridge for up to two weeks or frozen in slices for convenience. Let the steak rest before serving for optimal flavor and moisture.
