For the Sliders
  • 8 pieces slider buns Use whole wheat or gluten-free options if desired.
  • 12 oz deli ham Smoked ham is recommended; turkey or roasted chicken can be substituted.
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese Cheddar or provolone are also good alternatives.
  • 4 tbsp butter Melted butter helps bind the sliders.
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder Enhances flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard Adds a tangy kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  3. Layer the deli ham evenly on the bottom halves of the buns, followed by the cheese slices.
  4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
  5. Generously brush the butter mixture over the assembled sliders.
  6. Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.
  7. Cover your baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Once golden and gooey, pull them out of the oven and let cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

You can customize the sliders with spices or different fillings. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for a month. Reheat in a preheated oven.
