Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment for easy cleanup.
- Slice the slider rolls horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact as a connected sheet if you like tidy pull-apart sliders. Layer the bottom halves in the pan.
- Place a generous layer of thinly sliced ham over the bottom rolls, folding as needed to ensure even coverage.
- Top the ham with Swiss cheese slices, covering the bread edge to edge.
Assembly
- Mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, poppy seeds, and a crack of black pepper.
- Brush half of this mixture over the tops of the bottom layer.
- Finish with the top halves of the rolls, brush with the remaining butter mixture, and cover the pan tightly with foil.
Baking
- Bake for 12 minutes covered, then remove foil and bake 3–6 minutes more until the tops are golden and the cheese is fully melty.
- Let rest a few minutes before slicing into sliders. Serve warm.
Notes
These sliders are perfect for casual weeknight dinners, potlucks, game-day parties, or a cozy holiday appetizer. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze unbaked sliders for up to 2 months. For an indulgent upgrade, layer in caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese.
