  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds depth and a savory kick.
  • 1/4 cup milk For moisture. Swap almond milk for a dairy-free alternative.
  • 1 each egg Binds everything together.
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced Elevates the flavor beautifully.
  • 1 tsp onion powder For a subtle, sweet flavor.
  • 1 tsp paprika Adds smokiness; consider smoked paprika for an extra layer.
  • to taste salt and pepper
For the sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade, with a hint of sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper using your hands.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  4. Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet, with space in between.
Cooking
  1. Bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through.
  2. Remove the meatballs and drizzle with BBQ sauce, tossing gently to coat.
  3. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Notes

These meatballs can be served atop rice, mashed potatoes, or in slider buns. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days or frozen for three months. Reheat in the oven or stovetop.
