  • 1 pound large shrimp, fresh or frozen Shell-on and deveined are recommended.
  • 1/4 cup honey The star ingredient for sweetness.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor profile.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter Good quality works best.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce For umami flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Add heat as desired.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. If using frozen shrimp, be sure to fully thaw them.
  2. In a large pan over medium heat, add 3 tablespoons of butter until melted.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
Cooking
  1. Add the shrimp to the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until pink and opaque.
  2. Pour in the honey and soy sauce along with red pepper flakes. Gently stir to coat the shrimp in the sauce for another minute.
  3. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve.

Notes

Consider adding veggies for a one-pan meal, or use different herbs to change flavor profiles. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
