Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Chicken thighs (boneless, skinless) Juicy and flavorful, perfect for absorbing the honey garlic sauce.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Adds that golden sweetness that caramelizes beautifully in the skillet.
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced) Fresh garlic provides robust flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Brings a savory depth; opt for low-sodium for a healthier alternative.
  • 1 tsp Ginger (grated) Optional for warmth and spice.
  • 2 tbsp Green onions (for garnish) Freshly chopped for brightness.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (optional) A nutty finish that enhances flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by patting the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and grated ginger until well combined.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a little olive oil.
  2. Once hot, add the chicken thighs and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the last few minutes of cooking, allowing it to simmer and thicken.
  4. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Make sure to store leftovers in an airtight container; it can last in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for up to two months. Adjust honey and soy sauce ratio to taste.
