Preparation
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish, then refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated chicken breasts in the skillet, pouring any remaining marinade over the top.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Meanwhile, reduce the remaining marinade in the pan for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Drizzle the reduced marinade over the chicken before serving.
Garnishing
- Optional: Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley or sesame seeds.
Notes
For a vegan alternative, use maple syrup instead of honey and tamari instead of soy sauce for a gluten-free option. Feel free to experiment with added spices or herbs.
