Preparation
- Wash the apples thoroughly. Core and slice them into thin wedges, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place the apple slices in a bowl and squeeze the lemon juice over them to keep them fresh.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the honey, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until it forms a golden glaze.
- Gently add the apple slices to the skillet and toss them to coat in the honey mixture.
- Sauté for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the apples are tender and caramelized.
- Remove from heat and serve warm, drizzled with any remaining honey glaze.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat over low heat with a splash of water or apple juice.
