Ingredients

Meatball Ingredients
  • 1 pound Ground Beef Choose lean beef for less fat, or mix with ground pork for added flavor.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Italian seasoned breadcrumbs add extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated cheese brings irresistible creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup Parsley, chopped Swap with basil for a twist.
  • 1 Egg Binds everything together; replace with a flax egg for a lighter option.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Use roasted garlic for a sweeter flavor.
  • Salt & Pepper Essential for seasoning; adjust to taste.
For Serving
  • Marinara Sauce A smooth, rich sauce enhances the meatballs; make your own or use a high-quality jarred version.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  2. Heat some marinara sauce in a pot, then add the baked meatballs, simmering them together for a few minutes to soak up the sauce.

Notes

Mix until just combined for tender meatballs. Use a cookie scoop for uniform shape, and let the mixture rest for 10 minutes before shaping. These meatballs can be frozen for up to 2-3 months.
