Preparation
- Chop the bell peppers and onion into bite-sized pieces and mince the garlic.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up into smaller pieces. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Toss in the onions and bell peppers. Stir well to combine everything. Cook until the veggies are tender, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir for another 2-3 minutes.
Serving
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil. Serve hot.
