Preparation
- Start by boiling a pot of salted water. Add your pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and let it drain on paper towels. Crumble into pieces once cool.
- In the same skillet, remove excess bacon grease, leaving just enough for flavor. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet with the beef, cooking for about a minute until fragrant.
- Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream and cream cheese, mixing until smooth. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
Assembly
- Add the cooked pasta and bacon into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve piled high on plates, garnished with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.
Notes
For added nutrition, consider sneaking in some spinach or zucchini. You can also swap heavy cream for half-and-half or low-fat cream cheese for a healthier option. Experiment with different cheese for a unique flavor twist.
