Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Tender and juicy; consider pounded chicken for even cooking.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour To ensure a crispy coating; can replace with almond flour for a gluten-free option.
  • 2 large eggs Acts as a binding agent; consider flaxseed meal mixed with water for a vegan alternative.
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated For that nutty flavor; fresh cheese melts beautifully.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Richness from this component; use olive oil for a healthier twist.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic makes a difference; roasted garlic can also be used for a sweeter taste.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for flavor; feel free to add favorite spices for extra flair.
  • fresh pieces parsley for garnish Adds a vibrant pop to the plate and fresh herb fragrance.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by patting the chicken breasts dry and seasoning them with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the flour on one plate, beat the eggs in a bowl, and spread the grated parmesan on a third plate.
Cooking
  1. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak up that goodness, before finally coating it in parmesan cheese.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once bubbling, add the coated chicken breasts.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In the last couple of minutes of cooking, add the minced garlic to the skillet, stirring until fragrant but not burned.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a plate, sprinkle with parsley, and enjoy.

Notes

Consider using grilled chicken instead of pan-frying for a lighter option. Adding spinach or sun-dried tomatoes can elevate your dish. Serve with a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness, especially during the holidays.
