Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Feel free to swap with turkey or plant-based alternatives.
  • 8 ounces macaroni Any pasta shape works; shells or fusilli can add a fun twist.
  • 2 cups beef broth Homemade or store-bought for added depth.
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar) Experiment with other varieties like pepper jack.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder A shortcut if you’re short on fresh onions.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Or use fresh garlic for a more robust flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Regular mustard can be used as an alternative.
  • ½ cup milk Almond or oat milk can be used for a dairy-free version.
  • to taste salt and pepper Always adjust according to your preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot over medium heat, add the ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula as it sizzles. Cook until it’s browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir well to combine before adding the macaroni and beef broth.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and cover. Let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  4. Stir in the milk and cheese until everything is melted and creamy.
  5. Add the Dijon mustard, stir well, and taste to see if it needs more seasoning.
  6. Ladle the One-Pot Cheeseburger Macaroni into bowls and enjoy while it’s warm!

Notes

Feel free to unleash creativity by adding frozen peas, diced peppers, or spinach for extra nutrition. For a spicy kick, toss in some diced jalapeños or hot sauce. This dish can also be baked for a crunchy top.
