Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups pasta (fettuccine or penne) Gluten-free varieties work well too.
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts Juicy and tender chicken is the heart of this dish.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Base for sautéing, adding a gentle fruitiness.
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced) Enhances flavors and infuses aroma.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For that luscious Alfredo sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated cheese melts beautifully.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Seasoning enhances flavors.
  • Parsley for garnish (optional) Adds freshness and color.

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add cubed chicken breasts, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes). Remove chicken and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in the pasta, followed by 4 cups of chicken broth (or water). Give it a good stir to combine.
  4. Bring it to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and let simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the pot, and mix well. Taste for seasoning and adjust if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

You can add vegetables like broccoli, spinach, or peas for added nutrition. Adjust seasonings and try different proteins for variety.
