Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin Substitute with sliced rotisserie chicken for faster prep.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Amplifies the savory notes.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Optional, adds warmth and depth.
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For searing; swap with avocado oil.
  • 4 large flour tortillas or whole wheat wraps Choose gluten-free wraps if needed.
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped Crisp and refreshing.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved Adds juicy sweetness; cucumber slices work well too.
  • 1/2 cup shaved Parmesan or nutritional yeast Nutritional yeast adds cheesy flavor without dairy.
  • 1/2 cup classic Caesar dressing Homemade or store-bought; for a lighter version use Greek yogurt-based Caesar.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Brightens the dressing and ties flavors together.
  • Optional: anchovy paste (a small squeeze) For authentic Caesar depth; capers can be a briny substitute.

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts 4–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  3. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thin strips against the grain.
  4. Quickly warm tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side or wrap them in a damp towel and microwave for 15 seconds.
Assembly
  1. Toss romaine, tomatoes, Parmesan, lemon juice, and Caesar dressing in a bowl.
  2. Place a generous handful of the salad onto the center of each tortilla, top with sliced chicken, and fold in the sides then roll tightly.
  3. For an extra-textured finish, toast the assembled wraps in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly golden.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately and enjoy the perfect balance of crisp, creamy, and savory.

Notes

Add avocado slices for creaminess and healthy fats. Spice it up with a drizzle of sriracha or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. For a festive meal, swap the chicken for grilled shrimp and add roasted red peppers. Make it a healthy option by using a yogurt-based Caesar and whole wheat wraps.
