Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Tender and juicy; feel free to use thighs for more flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil A healthy choice that enhances the richness of the dish.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced The aroma while cooking is nothing short of heavenly.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes For that signature Arrabbiata heat; adjust to taste.
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes Rich and flavorful, perfect for the saucy base.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning A blend of herbs that will add depth to the flavors.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Essential for bringing out the flavors.
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish A bright, fresh touch to finish off the dish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and sear them for about 6 minutes on each side or until they’re golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the skillet and let it rest.
Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Stir well and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Return the chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the sauce, and cook together for an additional 2 minutes.
Serving
  1. Transfer the skillet to the table and sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley.
