Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Core each apple with an apple corer or a small knife, making sure to remove the tough core.
- In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, chopped nuts, and lemon juice.
- Generously fill each apple with the mixture, packing it closely.
- Place the stuffed apples upright in a baking dish and dot the tops with butter.
- Pour about 1/2 cup of water into the bottom of the baking dish.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
- Let them cool for a moment and serve warm.
Notes
To reheat leftovers, use the microwave for about 30-60 seconds or warm in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes. Enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or simply as is.
