Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the beef bites with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and quickly brown the pieces in a tablespoon of butter or oil.
  3. Transfer the browned beef into the slow cooker.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour the garlic butter over the beef in the slow cooker.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, or on high for 1.5 to 2 hours until the beef is tender.
  2. For a thicker sauce, remove the lid for the last 30 minutes or whisk in a cornstarch slurry (1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water).
Finishing
  1. Stir gently, taste and adjust seasoning, then sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For healthier options, use lean beef and reduce butter. To make it creamy, stir in 1/2 cup sour cream or cream cheese at the end. Additional veggies like mushrooms or carrots can be added.
