Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, dice the onion, and mince the garlic.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Cooking
  1. In the slow cooker, combine the meat with cabbage, rice, chopped onion, garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
Serving
  1. Once ready, give it a stir and taste for seasoning. Serve piping hot.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge. They also freeze beautifully. Don't skip the browning of the meat for enhanced flavor. For a twist, consider adding fresh herbs, red pepper flakes for spice, or cheese for a delightful topping.
