Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Smoked sausage Kielbasa, turkey, or vegan sausage can also be used.
  • 4 cups Green cabbage, chopped Savoy or Napa cabbage can be swapped for variety.
  • 1 cup Carrots, sliced Frozen mixed veggies can also be used.
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped Shallots can be a substitution for onion.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Garlic powder can be used as an alternative.
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce Low-sodium soy sauce is a healthier option.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil Can substitute with sesame oil for extra flavor.
  • to taste Black pepper Adjust based on the saltiness of the sausage.
  • to taste Salt Adjust based on personal preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Sauté the onion for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add the sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Toss in the garlic and carrots, sautéing for another 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add the cabbage, stirring until it wilts, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce, mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For added variety, you can include bell peppers or snap peas. Make ahead and store in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in a skillet over low heat.
