  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil Healthier fat for sautéing.
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth Low-sodium is recommended.

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat, swirling it around to coat the pan.
  2. Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir well to combine.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, cover, and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  6. Once the cabbage is ready, stir in the shrimp and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  7. Remove from heat and serve right away.

Notes

Feel free to customize with additional vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini. This dish pairs well with cornbread or a light salad.
