  • 3 large eggs Consider flax eggs for a vegan option.
Cheesecake Layer
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Low-fat varieties work too.
  • 1 cup sugar Can reduce this amount or substitute with honey.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Almond extract offers a delightful twist.
Garnish
  • Sprinkles or whipped cream Optional, but highly recommended!

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Spread the quartered strawberries at the bottom of the dish.
  4. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gently spread the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries.
  6. Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix.
Baking
  1. Place the assembled dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  2. Allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
  3. Top it off with whipped cream and sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Using room temperature ingredients helps blend easier. Do not overmix the cream cheese and sugar. Taste as you go to adjust sweetness.
