- In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and bring it to a gentle boil.
- Add 2 tablespoons of loose black tea (or 2 tea bags) and let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon each of chai spices (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves) and let them simmer for another minute.
- Pour in about 1 cup of milk and continue to heat until everything is warm and combined.
- Remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and sweeten to taste.
- Froth your latte (if desired) for that café-style finish before serving.
- Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy!
