Ingredients
  

Latte Base
  • 2 cups water For boiling
  • 2 tablespoons loose black tea Or 2 tea bags
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Chai spice
  • 1 teaspoon ginger Chai spice
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom Chai spice
  • 1 teaspoon cloves Chai spice
  • 1 cup milk of choice Whole, almond, oat, or coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor
  • to taste sweetener (honey, sugar, or stevia) Adjust sweetness to preference
  • optional toppings (whipped cream or cinnamon) For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and bring it to a gentle boil.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of loose black tea (or 2 tea bags) and let it steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon each of chai spices (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves) and let them simmer for another minute.
  4. Pour in about 1 cup of milk and continue to heat until everything is warm and combined.
  5. Remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and sweeten to taste.
  6. Froth your latte (if desired) for that café-style finish before serving.
  7. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat gently before serving. Customize the sweetness with honey or stevia for a healthier option.
