Vegetables
  • 2 cups assorted vegetables (zucchini, carrots, and broccoli) Feel free to swap in asparagus or bell peppers.
Creamy Base
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For a richer flavor.
  • 2 cups heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup grated cheese (Gruyère and Parmesan) Cheddar or mozzarella are great alternatives.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Or use minced fresh garlic for a more robust flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Use according to your preference.
Topping
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Try panko for extra crispiness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and chop your selected vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped vegetables, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and sauté until just tender, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, garlic powder, and ground pepper.
  5. In a greased baking dish, spread half of the sautéed vegetables, pour half of the cream mixture, and sprinkle half of the grated cheese. Repeat with remaining vegetables, cream, and cheese.
  6. Top with breadcrumbs to create a crunchy layer.
Baking
  1. Bake in preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  2. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes.
